Boseong-gun Accepts Applications for Private Sector Electric Vehicle Distribution Project in the Second Half of the Year

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced that it has started accepting applications for the second half of 2022 private sector electric vehicle and electric two-wheeler distribution projects until the end of the year.

The total allocation for the second half of the electric vehicle distribution project, promoted to reduce greenhouse gases, is 74 units: ▲56 electric passenger cars, ▲13 electric cargo vehicles, and ▲5 electric two-wheelers.

The total project cost is 1.25 billion KRW. Subsidies are applied differently by vehicle type considering performance such as fuel efficiency and energy efficiency, and the eligible vehicle types can be checked through the Zero Emission Vehicle integrated website.

Applicants must be individuals or corporations who have had an address in Boseong-gun for more than 3 months and have no history of electric vehicle purchase support within the last 2 years. Vulnerable groups, small business owners, first-time buyers, and multi-child households can apply as priority support targets.

Applications are made by registering in the system through the purchasing company after signing a new car purchase contract, and are accepted until the budget is exhausted.

Since subsidies are paid in the order of vehicle delivery registration regardless of application order, if the vehicle is not delivered within 3 months after application, the selection will be canceled or changed to a waiting list, so applicants should be aware of this.

Boseong-gun also distributed 42 vehicles in the first half of this year with a budget of about 510 million KRW, including ▲23 electric passenger cars, ▲10 electric cargo vehicles, and ▲9 electric two-wheelers.

A Boseong-gun official said, “The distribution of eco-friendly electric vehicles greatly contributes to reducing greenhouse gases and fine dust.” He added, “We hope for the interest and participation of the residents so that Boseong-gun can proactively respond to climate change.”
