Fire at a Factory in Damyang, Jeonnam... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] At around 5:23 AM on the 27th, a fire broke out at a factory in Damyang-gun, Jeonnam.
Upon receiving the report, the fire authorities immediately issued Response Level 1, then escalated it to Response Level 2 about five minutes later and began firefighting operations.
Initial extinguishing was successful after about 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the response level was lowered back to Level 1.
The fire damaged two factory buildings and two nearby factory buildings. There were no casualties, and the flames have been fully controlled; firefighters are currently cleaning up the remaining embers.
