Yoon Hee-seong, Former Vice President, Appointed as Export-Import Bank President... First Internal Appointment
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 26th that former Vice President Yoon Hee-sung has been nominated as the 22nd President of the Export-Import Bank. This is the first time since the bank's establishment in 1976 that an internal candidate has been appointed as president.
Nominee Yoon, born in 1961, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics and earned a master's degree in Public Administration from the same university. After joining the Export-Import Bank in 1988, he served as Head of Public Relations, Head of International Finance Department, Head of the Capital Market Division, and later as Head of the Innovation Growth Finance Headquarters.
The bank stated that nominee Yoon possesses insight into international finance and a global perspective, and his excellent communication skills earned him strong trust from employees during his tenure.

An official from the bank said, "Nominee Yoon, who has comprehensive expertise in policy finance and international finance, is expected to actively provide financial support necessary for foreign economic cooperation such as export-import and overseas investment, thereby contributing to the national economy."
