Gwangyang Economic Authority Advances Investment Attraction Activities for Daesong Industrial Complex Nearing Completion
Operating a Promotional Booth at the 2022 Korea International Machinery Expo
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Hadong Office of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Song Sang-rak, hereinafter Gwangyang Economic Authority) announced that it will participate in the '2022 Korea International Machinery Expo' held at Changwon Convention Center (CECO) from July 26 to 29 to conduct investment attraction activities.
The '2022 Korea International Machinery Expo' is the largest industrial expo in Gyeongnam Province, hosted by Gyeongnam Province and Changwon City and organized by the Korea Machine Industry Promotion Association. About 150 companies participate with 330 booths operated, and the exhibition items include automation, robotics, D.N.A, smart factory, digital manufacturing equipment, energy, plant, mobility, and eco-friendly sectors.
In addition, for visitors who cannot attend in person, the event will be broadcast live online as well as offline exhibitions.
The Hadong Office of the Gwangyang Economic Authority will operate a promotional booth at this expo to focus on promoting the excellence of the location for metal processing manufacturing in the Daesong Industrial Complex, which is nearing completion, to participating companies, and will also conduct individual consultations to discover potential investment-intent companies.
In particular, they plan to actively carry out investment attraction activities to expand tenant companies in the Daesong Industrial Complex by promoting Hadong-gun's groundbreaking incentive support systems, such as up to 10 billion KRW support per hydrogen industry investment company by amount, establishment of an investment attraction promotion fund, and location subsidies supporting up to 30% of the sale price.
Meanwhile, the Daesong Industrial Complex is scheduled to be developed by December 2022 in Geumnam-myeon, Hadong-gun, with a total area of 1.37 million square meters, targeting advanced industries such as manufacturing, new renewable energy, and new materials as attraction industries.
