CityLabs Builds Incheon Airport Smart Pass... "Biometric Authentication and IoT-Based"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] City Labs, a smart city integrated platform company, announced on the 25th that it has begun building the Incheon International Airport Smart Pass system based on biometric authentication and Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
The Incheon International Airport Smart Pass system construction project promoted by City Labs aims to maximize passenger processing efficiency and enhance aviation security through automation of the immigration process. This system is a next-generation contactless identity verification service that integrates passenger information and biometric data to verify passenger identity from check-in to boarding using only biometric information.
In this project, City Labs is responsible for delivering commercial infrastructure facilities and IoT solutions, a key technology of the 4th industrial revolution, for controlling and operating the Smart Pass system terminals, as well as related design.
The company plans to design the implemented technologies in a modular structure by individual services during the project, considering future expansion such as the addition of smart devices, thereby ensuring scalability and flexibility from the construction stage.
