Busan Education Office and Bank of Korea Conduct Job Training on Economic and Financial Education for Teachers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct a three-day job training course titled ‘Economic and Financial Education for Teachers with the Bank of Korea’ starting from the 25th.
The training will be held at the auditorium of the Bank of Korea Busan Headquarters in Nam-gu, targeting 40 participants including elementary and secondary school administrators and teachers.
This job training course is the first collaboration between the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and the Bank of Korea Busan Headquarters, designed to enhance teachers’ understanding of economics and finance as well as their instructional capabilities, aiming to revitalize economic and financial education in schools.
The training will feature lectures by six experts in economic and financial education, including Ok Hyo-jin, a teacher at Songsoo Elementary School in Busan and author of ‘Children Paying Taxes,’ Professor Song Byung-geon of Sungkyunkwan University, and Professor Park Jeong-ho of Myongji University.
The Office of Education plans to operate the training over 15 sessions covering various topics such as ▲Understanding Economics and Finance Education ▲Principles of Economics and Finance in Daily Life ▲Practical Economic and Financial Education in Schools ▲Visit to the Currency Museum.
