Employees are introducing the international standard certification for occupational health and safety management systems, 'ISO 45001,' received by Paradise Hotel Busan.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Paradise Hotel Busan announced on the 22nd that it has obtained the 'ISO 45001' certification, an international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, from GIC (Global Inter Certification), an internationally accredited certification body, becoming the first in the hotel industry to do so.
The occupational health and safety management system is an international standard certification system established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) with the purpose of preventing industrial accidents and creating a pleasant working environment. It strictly evaluates all aspects related to health and safety and grants certification to workplaces that meet the criteria.
Paradise Hotel Busan explained, "With a management policy that prioritizes the safety of customers and employees, we are conducting safety education for all staff and analyzing the work environment through continuous monitoring to create a safe business environment." They also added, "Last year, we established an HSE (Health Safety Environment) organization dedicated to quarantine and hygiene management."
To proactively identify risk factors and prevent accidents, the hotel has standardized management manuals for food and beverage, casino, and convention operations with a field-oriented approach and is operating a safety management process.
