[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on the 21st that it held the 27th Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony online in the metaverse on the 20th.
On this day, about 200 scholarship students selected as the 27th overseas exchange scholars accessed the metaverse platform ZEP, which replicates the Mirae Asset Center One building at Euljiro Entrance, to participate in the scholarship certificate awarding, meetings with senior scholarship students, and exchange activities among the scholars.
The Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Program is Mirae Asset's representative social contribution project that supports scholarships for university students scheduled to be dispatched as exchange students, enabling young talents in Korea to experience broad knowledge and culture, in line with Mirae Asset's management philosophy of "looking to the future with an open mind and valuing talent."
Since its inception in 2007, the Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Program has selected new scholarship students twice a year in the spring and fall semesters, providing scholarships for tuition and living expenses. Over the past 15 years, a total of 6,217 university students have been dispatched to 50 countries worldwide, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
