Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, attended the 18th anniversary celebration of the Naeseo Entrepreneurs Association and the inauguration ceremony of the new president.

At the event, Mayor Hong delivered a congratulatory speech and presented a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Son Jong-seop, who honorably retired after fulfilling his role as chairman of the association for the past two years for the development of the association. He also asked the newly inaugurated Chairman Kwon Soo-hyuk (International Boring Level 1 Maintenance) to work hard for the development of Jungni Industrial Complex.
Jungni Industrial Complex, where the association is located, has the largest proportion of machinery and automobile parts manufacturing industries among its sectors, and about 3,500 workers are employed there. The Naeseo Entrepreneurs Association was founded in 2004 and has about 120 member companies engaged in technical exchange and cooperative activities among enterprises.

At this occasion, Mayor Hong explained the policy direction of the 8th elected administration and said, “Amid the global economic downturn, Changwon’s economy is also facing difficulties. To overcome this, in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s digital transformation, manufacturing must adapt to and prepare for rapid technological changes.” He added, “To advance manufacturing technology, I will strengthen communication with entrepreneurs to create constructive alternatives.”
