Kakao Pay announced on the 21st that it has made an equity investment in The Cheat. The scale or amount of the investment was not disclosed.
As a result, cooperation between the two companies is expected to be enhanced. Currently, Kakao Pay is preparing to apply The Cheat's financial fraud prevention solutions to its own services. For example, when sending money through Kakao Pay, methods such as verifying in advance whether the transaction counterpart has a history of fraud through The Cheat are being considered.
