Jinro Selected as the World's Best-Selling Distilled Spirit No. 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] HiteJinro announced on the 21st that Jinro has been selected as the 'world's best-selling distilled spirit' for 21 consecutive years by the UK liquor specialty media Drink International.
HiteJinro sold 94.5 million cases (based on 9 liters per case) of soju products including Chamisul worldwide last year, ranking first. HiteJinro also recorded its highest-ever export performance last year with $102 million. It is evaluated that proactively establishing home and online channels in response to changes due to COVID-19 and strengthening momentum in the growth of Asian fruit liqueurs in line with the low-alcohol trend were effective. Drink International forecasted that HiteJinro's sales will exceed 100 million cases this year based on localization strategies.
