Yoon: "A Successful Organization Needs Many Star Players... Must Have Many Star Ministers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol emphasized on the 20th, "I have always said that an organization that produces star players is a successful organization."
On his way to the Yongsan Presidential Office building that day, when asked about the context of his remark that "there should be many star ministers," President Yoon replied, "Isn't that a very obvious statement?"
President Yoon said, "When I was in the prosecution in the past, I always said that it was not important for the Prosecutor General to become famous, but that the organization that produces star players by having chief prosecutors and prosecutors do their jobs well is a successful organization. It is in that context."
At the cabinet meeting the day before, President Yoon instructed the ministers, "Whether you do well or not, appear frequently in the media. It is okay if there are comments that ministers are visible in the media but the president is not," and added, "Have confidence and appear often in the media to explain policies to the public." He also emphasized, "I hope many star ministers emerge."
Furthermore, President Yoon also ordered the presidential office staff to "increase communication with the public." This directive was intended to actively promote state affairs not only through briefings but also by participating in broadcasts, radio appearances, and media interviews.
