Asiana Airlines Extends Mileage Validity Period Again
Mileage Set to Expire at the End of This Year Extended for One Year Until the End of Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Asiana Airlines announced on the 20th that it has decided to extend the validity period of mileage again this year.
Accordingly, mileage that was scheduled to expire at the end of this year can now be used for one more year until December 31 of next year. Mileage that was scheduled to expire in 2020 and 2021, which have already been extended twice, will receive an additional 6 months of validity and can be used until June 30 of next year. The mileage will be extended sequentially starting next month and can be checked on the website and mobile after September 1.
Asiana Airlines stated, “We empathize with the difficulty members faced in using mileage due to the impact of COVID-19, so we decided to extend the validity period for three consecutive years,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to improve customer convenience by increasing opportunities to purchase mileage tickets through gradual flight increases in the future.”
In addition, Asiana Airlines is making various efforts to help members utilize mileage, such as running promotions and expanding mileage usage options. Asiana Airlines is conducting a promotion until the 31st of next month, offering flight discount coupons to members who activate their dormant online accounts. After identity verification and deactivation of dormant status, members can receive a discount coupon of up to 20,000 KRW for one-way economy class flights departing from Korea. Among members who agree to receive email marketing after deactivating dormant status, 4,000 will be selected by lottery to receive Asiana Airlines’ character Saekdongi emoticons.
