Attendees included Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, and Ha Chung-sik, Chairman of Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital.
According to this agreement, the city will support health checkup costs (KRW 200,000 per person under 50 years old, KRW 300,000 for those 50 and older).
Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital will provide support for stomach and colon sedation endoscopy, MRI (if findings are present), and other examinations, offering more diverse and detailed tests than the national health checkup, as well as post-care for patients with severe diseases.
This project is a new initiative by Changwon Special City. In early July, the city accepted applications from single-parent families wishing to receive checkups and selected 220 people. Selected individuals can receive their checkups on their preferred dates from the 25th through November 30th.
Chairman Ha said, “Medical staff will do their best to ensure that low-income single-parent families, who are vulnerable to hospital visits due to economic difficulties, can comfortably receive checkups.”
