Implementation of Easy Authentication Service for Kibo and Technology Protection System
For Individual Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 19th that it will introduce a simple authentication service for the use of the Kibo Technology Protection System (Tech-Safe, hereinafter Tech-Safe). Previously, identity verification was only possible through the certified certificate authentication method, but authentication methods have been diversified to include Naver, Kakao, and the three major telecom companies' apps. Through this, individual business customers using Tech-Safe can now verify their identity faster and more conveniently than before. Kibo implemented a simple authentication service at its digital branch in August 2021 and is actively promoting the provision of simple authentication services in the public sector, including introducing the simple authentication service on the Tech-Safe site.
Meanwhile, customers using Tech-Safe can prevent technology leakage and theft that may occur during technology transactions in advance by applying for the Technology Deposit (Gisuljikimi) and TTRS (Evidence Keeper) services. Since the launch of the Tech-Safe service in January 2019, Kibo has strengthened its position as a comprehensive support organization for technology transactions and protection by registering 5,369 technology deposits and 1,243 TTRS cases from 3,187 companies as of the end of June this year.
