The 12th Jeollanam-do Council Begins Legislative Activities on the 19th
Provincial Government and Educational Administration Work Report · Supplementary Budget Review

According to the Jeonnam Provincial Council, on the first day of the opening, during the 1st plenary session, they will listen to the policy speeches on provincial administration and educational administration from Governor Kim Young-rok and Superintendent Kim Dae-jung, as well as the proposal explanation on this year's 1st supplementary budget.
From the 20th to the 28th, standing committees will review reports on the work of their respective departments, including the 'Supplementary Budget,' the 'Partial Amendment to the Jeollanam-do Administrative Information Disclosure Ordinance,' and the 'Partial Amendment to the Jeollanam-do Administrative Organization Establishment Ordinance.'
On the 26th and 27th, the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts will review the 1st supplementary budget, with the final approval planned at the 2nd plenary session on July 29th.
The scale of the supplementary budget is 10.9389 trillion won for the provincial government, which is an increase of 891.9 billion won from the original budget, and 5.5712 trillion won for the provincial office of education, which is an increase of 1.2382 trillion won.
In particular, the provincial government submitted the supplementary budget to revitalize the regional economy, successfully operate the Year of Visiting Jeonnam, and foster future strategic industries, while the provincial office of education submitted it to support educational deficit recovery, provide tailored support for vulnerable groups, and establish an educational safety net in the post-COVID-19 era.
