On the 18th, Yeongyang Post Office, GS Wind Power Co., Ltd., and Yeongyang-gun signed a business agreement to provide a free subscription service for the public injury insurance 'Post Office Happiness for 10,000 Won Insurance' for low-income residents in the Yeongyang area. The happiness insurance will be implemented from August until the support funds run out.
The 'Happiness for 10,000 Won Insurance' is available to household heads and members aged 15 to 65 who belong to the lower-income bracket as defined by the National Basic Livelihood Security Act.
It is a product that provides coverage for accidents and injuries for one year with a payment of 10,000 won. The Post Office will cover 33,700 won per male and 22,200 won per female, GS Wind Power will provide a budget of 7 million won, and Yeongyang-gun will actively guide eligible recipients to receive the support benefits.
About 700 eligible individuals can visit the Yeongyang Post Office or other post offices located in Yeongyang-gun from August 1 to enroll for free without paying the insurance premium. During the insurance period, this public insurance covers survivor benefits due to accidents (accidental death benefit of 20 million won), accident hospitalization (10,000 won per day), and accident surgery (up to 1 million won). After one year, re-enrollment is possible with a maturity benefit of 10,000 won.
Oh Do-chang, the governor of Yeongyang-gun, said, "Through cooperation among public institutions, we will provide better welfare services to marginalized residents in the Yeongyang area and strive to offer customized welfare services."
