Acting leader Kwon and Assemblyman Jang met at a restaurant in Yeouido, Seoul, and had lunch for about 1 hour and 20 minutes without any other attendees.
After the lunch, at a meeting with reporters, Acting Leader Kwon stated, "We briefly discussed how to join forces going forward to properly support the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
When asked, "Did you reach a consensus regarding the party’s direction and resolving confusion?" Acting Leader Kwon replied, "Since the leadership system of the party has already been decided, we did not discuss that."
Regarding measures for the decline in President Yoon’s approval ratings, Acting Leader Kwon said, "We never talked about that," adding, "As we led the birth of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, the administration must succeed for the party to survive, and for Assemblyman Jang and me as politicians to receive proper evaluation from the public. So, we just agreed to continue working together for the success of the Yoon administration, which is the usual conversation."
Assemblyman Jang explained, "Today, we talked about the events during President Yoon’s election process over the past year and the work we have done together over 15 years in politics," adding, "We agreed that under any circumstances, we will fully support President Yoon’s success."
