'Boseong Nokdon Burger' as a Model of Win-Win Collaboration Between Local Community and Corporate Farms
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeonnam Boseong-gun announced that the ‘McDonald’s Boseong Nokdon Burger Festival’ held at the Korea Tea Culture Park on the 14th concluded successfully with the participation of over 1,500 spectators.
The event was hosted by McDonald’s Korea as part of the ‘Taste of Korea’ project to commemorate the launch of the ‘Boseong Nokdon Burger.’
Considering the fact that there are no McDonald’s outlets in the Boseong area despite the launch of the ‘Boseong Nokdon Burger,’ McDonald’s Korea planned the event so that local residents could enjoy and sample the new product together.
At the opening ceremony, Boseong-gun Governor Kim Cheol-woo and McDonald’s Korea CEO Kim Ki-won participated and signed a business agreement to cooperate on the sale of local specialties and the development of new products.
The ‘Boseong Nokdon Burger Festival’ featured various events including a free tasting session of the Boseong Nokdon Burger with comedian Kim Shin-young acting as the one-day manager, free tea tasting of Boseong tea, a hands-on experience making Olbyeo rice nurungji pizza, and a Boseong-gun SNS promotional event.
In particular, the amusement park for local children and the McDonald’s Sports Club, which included the Jeonnam Provincial Government Fencing Team, received great responses. Many spectators also gathered for the congratulatory performances by singers such as Yuk Joong-wan Band and Song Ga-in.
Governor Kim Cheol-woo of Boseong said, “I thank McDonald’s Korea for providing local residents with a unique and enjoyable experience, and we will continue to cooperate so that Boseong-gun and McDonald’s Korea can become a model case of win-win cooperation.”
