[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Park Seonghyo, former mayor of Daejeon Metropolitan City, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service. Chairman Park will officially begin his duties on the 15th.
Born in 1955, Chairman Park graduated from Daejeon High School, Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Public Administration, and Daejeon University Graduate School of Public Administration. He passed the 23rd Administrative Examination in 1979.
Starting as a section chief in Chungcheongnam-do, he served as the 7th mayor of Seo-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, director of the Economic Bureau and head of the Planning and Management Office at Daejeon City Hall, and deputy mayor for political affairs at Daejeon City Hall. He later served as the 9th mayor of Daejeon Metropolitan City and the 19th member of the National Assembly representing Daejeon Daedeok-gu.
