Suwon City, Gwanggyo Lake Park 'Big Cleanup'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is launching a major cleanup of Shindae Lake and Woncheon Lake within Gwanggyo Lake Park.
On the 15th, Suwon City announced that it will carry out debris removal work in Shindae Lake and Woncheon Lake inside Gwanggyo Lake Park by the end of this month.
This is to prevent water pollution caused by recent heavy rains and to preserve the scenery of the lake park.
The city will deploy two aquatic weed removal vessels to collect floating debris such as trash brought downstream by the heavy rains during the monsoon season and remove aquatic plants.
The city plans to continue additional debris removal work in Gwanggyo Lake Park to keep the lake park environment clean.
