Ace Bed, First Half Year Newlywed Bed Trend: 'Premium · Geogeogiseon'
Preference for Premium Mattresses for Better Sleep
'King Size' Purchase Ratio Exceeds 65%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Ace Bed analyzed the bed purchasing trends of engaged couples who bought beds through Wedding Members in the first half of this year, revealing a preference for premium mattresses that ensure good sleep and larger-sized beds.
Ace Bed analyzed sales data of 5,581 engaged couples who joined the customized service Ace Wedding Members from January to June during the first half of the year. About 86% of the Wedding Members subscribers in the first half of this year took advantage of membership benefits and proceeded to actual product purchases, with linked sales through Wedding Members increasing by more than 30% compared to the same period last year.
Looking into the bed purchasing trends of engaged couples, it was analyzed that interest in quality sleep has grown, leading to high popularity of premium mattresses with excellent functionality and materials. In fact, the sales ratio of mattresses from Ace Bed’s top-tier line accounted for more than 50%. Along with this, the trend of "Geogeuikseon (巨巨益善, the bigger the better)" continued, with king (K) size purchases making up more than 65% of total purchases.
As the desire to decorate newlywed spaces with a comfortable and cozy atmosphere like a hotel increases, using hotel-style bedroom frames and large-sized beds, newlyweds most frequently chose Ace Bed’s "Luce-Ⅲ (LUCE-Ⅲ)." Luce-Ⅲ (LUCE-Ⅲ) features indirect lighting on the headboard, allowing for a soft ambiance at night and a modern touch during the day. Following this, the modern design reminiscent of a hotel suite, "BMA-1148," was highly popular. Additionally, the luxurious mood of "Lanotte (LANOTTE)" and "Zana (ZANA)," which gained attention through TV commercials, also received positive responses.
Among mattresses, the top-tier line Hybrid Tech Red (RED) and Hybrid Tech Ⅶ products, which apply the hybrid Z spring patented in 15 countries worldwide, along with the newly released super hard type mattress "Ace BellaⅢ," were the most chosen.
