[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 14th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Council appointed members of the 12th Provincial Council's first Budget and Accounts Special Committee with a one-year term in the first half of the year during the 397th extraordinary session (15 members from the Provincial Office, 15 members from the Office of Education).
Yoo Gye-hyun was appointed as the chairperson of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee under the Provincial Office, and Han Sang-hyun was appointed as the vice-chairperson.
Seong Nak-in was appointed as the chairperson of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee under the Office of Education, and Jo Hyun-shin was appointed as the vice-chairperson.
Chairperson Yoo, appointed as the chair of the Budget and Accounts Committee under the Provincial Office, stated, "I feel a heavy responsibility in taking on this important role during difficult times," adding, "I will carefully review the appropriateness of budget formulation and execution to ensure that valuable resources are not wasted, and I will do my best to ensure that the budget is allocated appropriately to vitalize the local economy and improve the quality of life for residents."
Chairperson Seong, in charge of the Office of Education, said, "The supplementary budget proposal for the Office of Education was prepared to support personnel expenses for smooth quarantine measures amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation, educational recovery, creation of a safe educational environment, Green Smart Future Schools, and improvement of aging facilities," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that students can receive happy education in a safe environment."
