Gyeongnam University Department of Cultural Contents to Hold Regular Performance of ‘The Odd Couple’
Free Performance at Odongdong Small Theater on the 15th-16th
The Department of Cultural Contents Performance Arts Club ‘Chwiyeon’ at Gyeongnam National University will hold a regular performance of Neil Simon's ‘The Odd Couple’ on the 15th and 16th at the small theater ‘Ppalgan Gaekseok’ located in Odong-dong, Masanhappo-gu.

‘The Odd Couple’ tells the story of two divorced women with completely different personalities living together for three weeks.
Through their poignant stories, the play shows the audience laughter and tears, and through conflicts and confrontations, it also allows a look into the inner feelings of modern people regarding love.
The performance is directed by Professor Kim Jong-won of the Department of Cultural Contents, with Filipino international students John Dave Hasinto and Wendel Reyes, currently enrolled at Gyeongnam National University, serving as assistant directors. Additionally, over 20 students from the Department of Cultural Contents participated as actors and staff.

Professor Kim, who directed the play, said, “To express the inner aspects of the work more delicately to the audience, the performance is conducted in the original English text, and some scenes are also performed in Korean to aid audience understanding. I would like to thank Kim Han-sol, the director of Ppalgan Gaekseok Theater, and everyone who generously supported the performance. Please give lots of encouragement and support to the actors and staff who prepared their best under difficult conditions.”
