The Farnborough International Airshow, held every two years at Farnborough Airport on the outskirts of London, is one of the world's largest airshows alongside the Paris Airshow. From the 18th to the 22nd, a total of 1,500 companies from 48 countries will participate over five days. Global aerospace and defense companies such as Boeing, Airbus, and Lockheed Martin, as well as domestic companies including Korea Aerospace Industries and Hanwha Systems, are expected to attend.
SeAH Aerospace & Defense Materials is the only domestic supplier of aluminum alloy materials for global commercial aircraft such as Boeing. It is a company established after SeAH Besteel Holdings Co., Ltd. acquired the Korean production base of the U.S. company Alconic in 2020. At this exhibition, SeAH Aerospace & Defense Materials will introduce aluminum extrusion, forging, and defense products used in aircraft wings and fuselages for Boeing 737, 767, and 787, as well as aerospace drawn products used in Airbus A320 and A330.
SeAH Aerospace & Defense Materials supplies a variety of aerospace and defense aluminum alloy materials to the global market, ranging from commercial and military aircraft to urban air mobility (UAM) prototype products. The company expects that participating in this exhibition will be a great opportunity to showcase Korea's aerospace material technology to the global market. In particular, with the recent post-COVID surge in demand for commercial aircraft manufacturing and aerospace materials from Boeing and Airbus, SeAH Aerospace & Defense Materials plans to actively promote its status as the only domestic supplier of aerospace aluminum alloys to global demand companies.
