LH "Improving Website Accessibility for Visually Impaired... Accepting Human Rights Commission Recommendations"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The National Human Rights Commission of Korea announced on the 13th that Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) has accepted its recommendation to improve accessibility for visually impaired users on the LH Subscription Center website.
In response to the Human Rights Commission's recommendation, LH stated, "We have submitted a plan to commission the reconstruction of the 'LH Subscription Center' website, including the provision of alternative text for visual materials," adding, "We plan to provide website services compliant with the 'Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1' standard starting from July 2023."

Previously, the Human Rights Commission had recommended to the LH President last month to ensure that visually impaired individuals are not discriminated against in the operation of the LH Subscription Center website by providing alternative text for sales information notices and visual materials, in accordance with the 'Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.'
