Busan City Promotes '2022 Welfare Survey' ... Establishing Basic Welfare Data and Attempting Diverse Welfare Policies
Investigation Conducted from 7.18 to 8.31 for Analysis of Citizens' Living Conditions and Welfare Needs
Direct Interview Survey by Investigators Targeting 2,200 Households Residing in Busan
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City, together with the Welfare Development Institute, is undertaking the establishment of basic data to analyze citizens' living conditions and welfare needs for use in formulating welfare policies.
The city announced that it will conduct the '2022 Busan Metropolitan City Welfare Survey' for 45 days from July 18 to August 31.
The Busan City Welfare Survey has been conducted biennially since the first survey in 2018. The survey results are actively used for developing customized welfare policies reflecting changes in citizens' welfare awareness and needs, as well as for the efficient allocation and execution of the welfare budget.
The survey method involves interview surveys conducted by investigators affiliated with the survey agency 'Southern Post' through household visits (using survey forms), and the city plans to announce the results in December.

Lee Seon-a, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau of the city, said, "This survey is intended to establish basic data on regional welfare by understanding changes in citizens' welfare levels, and will be actively used to promote multifaceted policies to improve the sense of welfare. The survey is strictly protected under the Statistics Act and cannot be used for purposes other than statistical compilation, so we ask for the active participation of all citizens."
