Jeonnam Fire Department Detects Defects in 456 Sites During Fire Special Inspection in First Half of This Year
27 Classes, 59 Members Dedicated Investigation Team Deployed... Fire Facility Normalization Including Fine Imposition
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) conducted a special fire inspection in the first half of this year and identified 456 sites with deficiencies.
According to Jeonnam Fire on the 11th, a dedicated team of 59 members across 27 teams from the Fire Headquarters and fire stations inspected 513 multi-use facilities, 113 sites in the Yeosu Industrial Complex, 110 key management targets, 91 old factories, and 1,361 other sites including logistics warehouses and election-related facilities.
As a result, deficiencies in fire facilities, evacuation, and fire prevention facilities were found at 456 sites, accounting for 21%, and fire facilities were normalized through corrective orders.
The main violations included ▲ malfunctioning fire pumps and negligence in managing alarm and evacuation equipment ▲ obstruction of fire door usage ▲ illegal building extensions and usage.
By category, deficiencies were pointed out at 98 logistics warehouses, 73 key management targets, 69 election-related facilities, 51 multi-use facilities, 48 old factories, and 117 other sites such as temples.
Jeonnam Fire issued corrective orders to 375 sites with fire facility deficiencies, imposed fines on 37 sites, and referred 44 sites to the relevant city and county offices for violations of the Building Act.
