Me2on Group's 'Pocket Battles NFT War' Secures Investment from Blockchain VC Hangang Ventures
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Me2on and Me2zen announced on the 11th that their jointly developed casual strategy battle game, ‘Pocket Battles NFT War,’ has secured investment from the venture capital firm Hangang Ventures.
Through this investment, Pocket Battles NFT War will gain significant momentum in the overall progress of the project as it begins full-scale collaboration with key domestic and international partners. Based on the global networks held by both companies, they plan to aggressively expand their global NFT game business.
Hangang Ventures is one of the largest blockchain VCs in Korea, specializing in virtual assets. It has participated as an investor in promising domestic and international P2E·NFT and GameFi startups such as Gamefi, Division Network, and Klaydice, helping domestic projects enter the global market.
Recently, Hangang Ventures secured a conditional equity investment worth approximately 130 billion KRW from Mindfulness Capital. Mindfulness Capital is also an outside director and shareholder of the Animoca brand and has invested in various blockchain projects including Sandbox, BTC.com, and Bitmain.
Pocket Battles NFT War is the first P2E·NFT MApp (MEVerse DApp) to be onboarded on Me2on Group’s blockchain mainnet, MEVerse. It is a casual strategy battle mobile game where players collect NFT heroes, regular heroes, and mercenary characters to form their own squad and engage in battles. As Me2on Group’s first P2E·NFT project utilizing its IP, it will launch the game this month and hold the NFT tournament ‘Pocket Championship,’ with a total prize pool worth $200,000 per quarter.
From July 11 to 12, NFT minting and the token launchpad IMO (Initial MEVerse Offering) will be conducted through MEVerse Dex, and secondary NFT trading will also be available in the MEVerse Dex marketplace thereafter.
