Kumho Tire Launches Tires for Electric Vehicles... "Accelerating Market Penetration"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Kumho Tire announced on the 11th that it will launch electric vehicle tires 'Majesty9 SOLUS TA91 EV' and 'Crugen HP71 EV.'
The Majesty9 SOLUS TA91 EV and Crugen HP71 EV are designed not only to improve fuel efficiency tailored to the characteristics of electric vehicles but also to consider driving performance and ride comfort. Both products are based on Kumho Tire's steady seller models and feature advanced EV technologies.
The 'Majesty9 SOLUS TA91 EV' and 'Crugen HP71 EV' use EV-optimized compounds with highly dispersed precision silica to maximize ride comfort and braking performance. Compared to regular products, they significantly improve wear resistance and braking power, enhancing driving stability. They also apply 'tire noise reduction technology,' which disperses noise generated from tire grooves through dimple design, providing optimal ride comfort. Pattern design analysis systems were utilized to improve driving performance and wear resistance.
Additionally, Kumho Tire offers an optional 'resonance noise reduction tire' with foam attached inside the electric vehicle tires, expanding consumer choices. The 'resonance noise reduction tire' is a low-noise tire that attaches polyurethane foam sound-absorbing material inside the tire to reduce noise (resonance) caused by air vibrations inside the tire when the tire tread contacts the road surface. It is scheduled to be supplied to consumers starting in August.
