Park Geun-oh, Chief of the Fire Safety Headquarters, said, “In response to the recent consecutive ship fires, we will collaborate with related agencies to conduct rapid inspections of firefighting facilities and equipment and thoroughly manage them by immediately addressing any deficiencies.”
He added, “We will also ensure thorough preparedness by regularly conducting joint firefighting drills and deploying firefighting forces during weather warnings to enhance ship fire response capabilities.”
