Gyeongbuk-do Gyeongju Hosts the 4th Korea 'Social Economy Expo' ... Diverse Events Including Social Culture Tourism and Various Experiences
From the 8th to the 10th at Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] From the 8th to the 10th, Gyeongbuk Province will hold the 4th "Korea Social Economy Expo" at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center together with the government and social economy-related organizations.
The Social Economy Expo is an event that introduces social economy policies and enterprises, allowing visitors to experience and purchase various products and services all in one place.
This expo will be conducted through offline programs such as the opening and closing ceremonies, exhibition halls, and side events, as well as online programs including expo virtual tours, online special exhibitions, and shopping live broadcasts, along with unique programs operated by Gyeongbuk Province.
Visitors to the expo can not only experience products and services from social economy enterprises nationwide but also enjoy discounted access to the cultural and tourist resources of Gyeongju, a cultural and tourism city, and use free tour buses, allowing them to personally experience a "tourism-oriented social economy expo."
The participating companies' exhibition halls have been reorganized from being grouped by company type to being divided into six zones based on product and service types: Food Zone, Local Zone, Fashion & Beauty Zone, Tech Zone, Eco Zone, and Service Zone, focusing on the convenience of expo visitors.
The "Jeon Junhan Social Economy Award," which inherits the ideology of Jeon Junhan, the founder of Sangju's "Hamchang Cooperative," Korea's first private cooperative, and recognizes exemplary social economy individuals, enterprises, and institutions nationwide, will also be held.
A promotional hall to publicize "Gyeongbuk Social Cultural Tourism" will be operated, and a tour bus circulating through major discounted tourist sites in Gyeongju will allow the general public to experience these firsthand.
This is a new business model of Gyeongbuk's social economy that links activities such as culture, arts, experiences, and travel with social economy enterprises by using accommodations and restaurants run by locals and purchasing locally produced ingredients, and donates a portion of the profits earned to social contributions.
For the general public who cannot visit the venue in person, an online special exhibition will be operated through platforms such as Lotte ON's "Gyeongbuk Market" and Naver Happybean's "Social Economy, Opening Tomorrow" to introduce and sell excellent social economy products and services from Gyeongbuk.
