Daejeon City Saves 13.6 Billion KRW in Budget Through Contract Review in First Half of the Year
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City saved 13.6 billion KRW in budget through contract reviews in the first half of the year.
The City Audit Committee announced on the 8th that it reviewed 879 contracts worth 433.8 billion KRW signed in the first half of this year, achieving such results.
Contract review is a system that examines the appropriateness of cost estimation, selection of construction methods, and changes in design increase or decrease amounts for projects ordered by local governments.
The City Audit Committee reviewed comprehensive construction contracts over 30 million KRW, electrical, communication, mechanical, and landscaping contracts over 10 million KRW, service contracts over 50 million KRW, and goods purchase contracts over 20 million KRW this year.
As a result, by contract type, the committee saved 12.2 billion KRW in 316 construction contracts, 900 million KRW in 208 service contracts, and 500 million KRW in 373 goods contracts. By ordering agency, the committee explained that business offices saved 3.3 billion KRW, the main office saved 1.5 billion KRW, autonomous districts saved 2.7 billion KRW, and public enterprises saved 6.1 billion KRW.
