Outdoor Brand 'Eider' Makes Reverse Entry into European Market

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Outdoor brand Eider announced on the 6th that it will make a reverse entry into Europe, the brand's home ground, following the acquisition of global trademark rights.
Eider is an outdoor brand that started in France in 1962. K2 Korea Group signed a license agreement to bring Eider to Korea in 2006, acquired domestic trademark rights in 2009, and acquired global trademark rights in 2020.
Eider plans to officially enter the European market starting with the 2023 Fall/Winter (F/W) season, after completing brand marketing, distribution, and product preparation, through a license agreement with Snowleader, a French outdoor specialty distributor.

An Eider official said, "Following the acquisition of global trademark rights, it is a meaningful moment to make a reverse entry into the European market as the headquarters of the brand's home ground," adding, "We will strive to enhance Eider's status in the global market starting with this reverse entry."
