Tous Les Jours, Average Price Increase of 9.5% Across 80 Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] CJ Foodville's Tous Les Jours announced on the 6th that it has raised the prices of about 80 products by an average of 9.5%.
On the 4th, Tous Les Jours increased the recommended retail prices of products such as red bean bread, soboro bread, and cream puff bread. For example, the prices of red bean bread and soboro bread were raised by 100 won each, from 1,600 won to 1,700 won.
However, franchise stores can raise the actual selling price of products at their desired timing based on the recommended retail price.
The timing for Tous Les Jours headquarters to actually raise the unit price of products supplied to franchise stores is mid this month.
A CJ Foodville official said, "After sufficient consultation with franchise owners, we decided to raise prices starting this week," adding, "This is an unavoidable measure due to the sharp increase in various costs such as domestic and international raw material prices, processing costs, and logistics expenses."
