According to TASS news agency, Igor Konashenkov, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Defense, stated at a regular briefing on the 2nd (local time), "The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed five Ukrainian command posts and three ammunition depots yesterday." He added, "The Aerospace Forces struck four Ukrainian multiple rocket launcher systems with precision weapons."
Spokesperson Konashenkov said, "Three battalions belonging to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade and the 72nd Mechanized Brigade lost more than half of their personnel in one day." He also reported that Russian air defense units shot down a Ukrainian MIG-29 fighter jet in the Mykolaiv region and downed 19 Ukrainian drones.
