The Roadside of Palgeum, Sinan, Turns Golden
300,000 Summer Flowers in Full Bloom Including Gyeopgeumgyeguk, Sarubia, Aegibeombuche, and Sunflowers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] The roadside in Palgeum-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do is gaining great popularity among tourists with blooming double cosmos and dwarf iris flowers.
Every week, about 10,000 tourists pass through the 3km section from Palgeum-myeon Azalea Park, which they must pass to get to Purple Bridge, to Baekgyesamgeori, where noble flowers bloom as if splashed with golden paint.
This flower road was created by 80 senior job workers who planted a total of 300,000 flowers since March, including 80,000 cosmos, 80,000 salvia, 60,000 dwarf iris, sunflowers, and yellow iris, and the flowers that have overcome drought are now showing their presence.
