CU Launches Gyeongsang Yuzu Ale... "Refreshing Taste and Sweet Yuzu Aroma"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] CU announced on the 30th that it will launch Gyeongsang Yuja Ale as the 6th installment of its regional craft beer series.
Gyeongsang Yuja Ale is a product developed by Wanjeokhaninsaeng Brewery located in Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. This product utilizes yuja, a specialty of Namhae-gun, and features a harmonious blend of malt sweetness and hop aroma, making it enjoyable for everyone without any burden.
Earlier this year, CU partnered with small and medium-sized breweries representing each region to support local job creation and economic revitalization, launching a craft beer series named after the regions, including Seoul Pale Ale, Gyeonggi Wit Ale, Gangwon Ale, Chungcheong Session IPA, and Jeolla Lager. So far, the regional craft beer series has sold over 1.5 million cans and ranks within the top 10 among more than 40 types of craft beers.
CU plans to strengthen its regional craft beer lineup in the second half of this year by collaborating with a brewery based in Jeju Island to introduce new craft beers.
