Gwangju Seo-gu to Host 'Ecological Book Video Contest' Starting Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 28th that it will hold an 'Ecological Book Video Contest' at the Children's Ecological Learning Library from July 1 to August 31.
This contest was planned to widely raise awareness of the seriousness of environmental pollution and the necessity of ecosystem preservation through the connection of books and video media.
Applicants who wish to participate should read one of the 15 ecological and environmental books and introduce the book's storyline, or create and submit book introduction videos such as book trailers, taking care to respect copyrights when using drawings, photos, audio, fonts, etc.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Seo-gu Integrated Library website and sending it along with the video file via email.
The submitted works will be judged on creativity, artistry, and theme delivery, and three winners (Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Merit Award) will be selected in both the children's and adult categories, with a total prize money of approximately 1.2 million KRW awarded.
All participants will receive participation prizes, and lucky draw prizes will also be provided.
The winners of this contest will have an award ceremony and screening of the winning works at the 'Children's Ecological Reading Movement' event to be held on September 24.
A library official said, "We hope the ecological book video contest will be an opportunity for families to enjoy reading activities together and to foster interest in ecology and the environment," and added, "We ask for the enthusiastic interest and participation of those who love books."
