National Gwangju Science Museum Opens Special Exhibition 'The Two Faces of Plastic'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold a special exhibition titled "The Two Faces of Plastic" from July 1 to August 28.
This special exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the proper use of plastic, which is essential to us but sometimes pollutes the environment, through fun games and hands-on experiences.
Held in the museum's special exhibition hall, it is composed of five zones: ▲Plastic Revolution ▲Playing with Plastic ▲Plastic's Counterattack ▲Evolution of Plastic ▲Rewriting the Plastic User Manual.
In the 'Plastic Revolution Zone,' visitors can explore the process from the invention of plastic to its use in culture, play, daily life, and hygiene through engaging exhibits.
'Playing with Plastic' offers experiences such as large brick artworks created by professional artists, moving brick models, and brick car racing competitions.
Additionally, through the 'Brick in House Contest,' visitors can see various selected brick works and create their own unique pieces using bricks of different shapes.
Furthermore, the 'Plastic's Counterattack' and 'Evolution of Plastic' zones showcase the reality of environmental pollution caused by plastic and introduce fascinating plastics such as functional plastics designed to minimize pollution and electrically conductive plastics.
In the 'Eco-friendly Plastic Classroom,' visitors can learn various ways to protect the environment.
This exhibition presents diverse content through collaboration with the National Busan Science Museum, National Marine Biodiversity Institute, East Asian Sea Community Ocean, and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology's Next Generation Energy Research Institute.
