Police Investigate Complainant of Kim Geon-hee Fan Cafe ‘Geonsarang’ Representative
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Lee Seung-hwan, the representative of the Kim Sarang fan cafe who filed a defamation complaint against Seoul Voice reporter over First Lady Kim Geon-hee, appeared at the Seoul Seocho Police Station on the afternoon of the 26th to undergo an investigation as the complainant.
Lee filed a complaint against Seoul Voice reporter A on the 23rd for violating the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation). On the 20th, he also filed a complaint against Seoul Voice representative Baek Eun-jong at the Seoul Mapo Police Station for the same charge.
When Lee Seung-hwan, representative of Kim Sarang, appeared at the police station around 4:15 p.m. that day, he said, "If the defamation charge is recognized, I will request that they be severely punished," adding, "I plan to emphasize during the investigation that this has caused significant mental damage to our members as well."
