Gimhae City Advances as a Women-Friendly City... Increasing the Proportion of Female Managers in Public Service
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam Province has decided to gradually increase the proportion of female managerial public officials.
On the 24th, Gimhae City announced that on the 22nd, it held the final report meeting for the research project on the "Mid- to Long-term Development Plan for Creating a Women-Friendly City" (2023?2027) in a small conference room at City Hall to discuss these matters.
The city aims to be re-designated as a women-friendly city in the second half of this year and had initiated the research project on the mid- to long-term development plan for creating a women-friendly city last October by entrusting it to the Gyeongnam Women's Family Foundation.
As a result, five major goals were derived: ▲ expanding the proportion of female managerial public officials and female members in committees ▲ operating a women's job council and a safety department task force (TF) ▲ monitoring and improving community safety ▲ supporting care workers and expanding small library care projects ▲ expanding women-friendly city hub spaces.
