Changwon City Joint Inspection for Food Poisoning Prevention at School and Kindergarten Cafeterias

Changwon City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 24th that it collected specimens from 10 students who ate at the Nammyung Dormitory cafeteria and showed symptoms of food poisoning, and sent them to the Gyeongnam Institute of Health and Environment for testing.
In addition to the initial 10 cases, 4 students with suspected food poisoning symptoms were hospitalized for treatment, and currently only 1 remains hospitalized.
The Nammyung Dormitory Changwon Hall cafeteria is currently known to be operating normally after disinfection.

A Changwon City official stated, “The exact results identifying the causative bacteria are expected to be available around next week,” and added, “If there are any administrative measures to be taken after the investigation results are released, we will proceed accordingly.”
