KSD Donates 80 Million KRW to Create Community Self-Support Work Jobs
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Securities Depository announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with the Busan branch of the Korea Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Association to create jobs for local residents participating in self-sufficiency and to practice ESG management.
The agreement includes the Korea Securities Depository sponsoring 80 million KRW in donations, and the Busan branch of the Korea Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Association managing the self-sufficiency labor job projects. The self-sufficiency project refers to expanding job opportunities and creating a working environment for low-income groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty individuals to live independently.
As part of this agreement, the ‘Self-Sufficiency Participant Total Clean Master Support Project’ will be promoted to support the creation of about 120 self-sufficiency labor jobs. The Self-Sufficiency Participant Total Clean Master Support Project involves self-sufficiency participants belonging to 12 self-sufficiency centers in the Busan area visiting approximately 210 households of children in vulnerable housing from June to November to provide comprehensive cleaning services such as cleaning, laundry, and disinfection.
