Diageo Korea Launches 'Johnnie Walker Black Sherry Finish'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Diageo Korea's world best-selling Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker announced on the 23rd that it will release a limited edition "Johnnie Walker Black Sherry Finish," aged in sherry casks. The complex and deep flavors of Johnnie Walker Black are enhanced by the sweetness of the sherry cask, offering a smooth finish.
The limited edition Johnnie Walker Black Sherry Finish blends Scotch whisky aged over 12 years, carefully selected from distilleries in Scotland's Highlands, Lowlands, Speyside, and Hebrides Islands, and undergoes additional maturation in casks that previously held sherry wine. It features intense fruity aromas followed by vanilla notes, creamy caramel, rich fruitiness, and spice, with the sweetness of figs and plums adding a silky smooth and gentle smoky finish that lingers.
A Johnnie Walker brand representative stated, "As the popularity of Scotch whisky has increased, we introduced Johnnie Walker Black Sherry Finish to offer more diverse choices to domestic consumers. We hope you enjoy it in various ways, whether chilled as a refreshing highball or rich and smooth as a neat or on the rocks."
