Gwangju Buk-gu Calls for Candidates for the 15th Buk-gu Resident Award Until Next Month 11
Reception of Candidates for 5 District Resident Awards, Ceremony at Upcoming September 'Buk District Residents' Day' Event
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 22nd that it will accept nominations for candidates for the '15th Buk-gu Resident Award' until the 11th of next month, targeting residents who have contributed to the development of the local community and the welfare of residents.
The nominations are divided into five categories: ▲local economy ▲community service ▲culture, arts, and sports ▲filial piety ▲honorable disabled persons.
Eligibility for nomination requires residents to have lived in Buk-gu for more than three years as of the announcement date, and for the local economy and culture, arts, and sports categories, candidates must have a record of activities in Buk-gu for more than three years.
Candidate recommendations can be submitted by heads of various institutions or social organizations, or by more than 30 local residents, along with recommendation letters, evidence of achievements, and other related documents to the Administrative Support Division of Buk-gu Office.
The recipients of the Resident Award will be decided through screening in August, and the awards ceremony will be held at the 'Buk-gu Residents' Day' commemorative event in September.
Director Moon said, "We hope for much interest and recommendations so that those who contribute to local development and serve as role models in each field can be selected."
Meanwhile, Buk-gu has awarded the Resident Award to a total of 64 residents from 2008 to last year.
