Incheon TP and Gyeyang-gu Join Hands for SOS Lab Project... Solving Local Issues with SW Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 22nd that it will carry out the 'Incheon SOS Lab (Solution in Our Society Lab) project' together with Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, to address local issues through software (SW) technology.
This project develops ideas to solve issues by bringing together citizens, local governments, and companies into ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and SW solutions, focusing on child-related issues such as traffic safety, abuse, health, and education.
Incheon TP plans to shortlist about 10 issues through online workshops and one-on-one interviews with a citizen participation group composed of 78 parents and 12 children from the Gyeyang area by the end of this month.
Among these, two major issues will be selected to prepare a Request for Proposal (RFP) through a solution idea discovery workshop conducted by the Incheon Citizen Research Institute. This will serve as a blueprint to lead ICT and SW companies in developing solutions, which will later be used to solve local issues through a demonstration process.
