View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Samsung Electronics announced on the 22nd that it will share the 'Samsung Sustainable Development Goals' and activity cases at the world's largest advertising festival, '2022 Cannes Lions,' which opened in Cannes, France.
Since the 20th (local time), Samsung Electronics has been operating a Sustainable Development Goals experience booth at the Cannes venue together with 'Generation 17' youth leaders until the 24th. Generation 17 is a partnership announced by Samsung Electronics and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2020 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the UN. To achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, 14 global youth leaders were selected and supported in their activities using Galaxy devices and technology.
Visitors can access the Samsung Global Goals application through a QR code provided at the experience booth. They can check projects and activities carried out by Samsung Electronics and Generation 17 youth leaders, such as improving educational environments, responding to climate change, and enhancing local communities through technology. Using the Galaxy Tab S8, visitors can select one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, set the goal image as a background, and take commemorative photos with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which can then be printed.
On the 23rd, a conference for achieving global Sustainable Development Goals will also be held locally. About 1,000 brand marketing officials are expected to attend. At this event, Generation 17 youth leaders and Samsung Electronics executives will participate as panelists to share the role of companies in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the importance of mobile technology.
