Megabox stated, "The main reasons are the worsening management situation due to operating deficits for about 2 years and 3 months from 2020 to April 2022, and the increase in fixed costs such as logistics, theater rent, and management fees," adding, "due to prolonged COVID-19, business losses caused by eating bans, and unavoidable price increases due to minimum wage hikes, logistics costs, and raw materials."
