Gwangju Seo-gu Hwajeong 1-dong Saemaeul Library, Pet Plant Experience Program 'Attention'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Saemaeul Library of Hwajeong 1-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (President Kim Ok-ja) attracted attention by holding a companion plant experience program for children.
According to Hwajeong 1-dong on the 21st, this program was prepared to commemorate the 27th Environment Day, to provide sustainable development and carbon neutrality experience opportunities to village children, and to share the importance of the Earth.
The event was a great success with about 200 village residents and about 60 children attending together.
The children participated in companion plant experience activities, such as planting plants in used PET bottles with village elders to make flowerpots.
Kim Ok-ja, president of Hwajeong 1-dong Saemaeul Library, said, “I hope this event will be a good opportunity for children to understand carbon neutrality and learn how to practice it in daily life,” and added, “We will continue to prepare fun and beneficial programs with children and adolescents.”
